Kerime, Tatiana & Wade

Kerime Jessica Konur, 30, is a dancer, actress, director and choreographer. She lives in New York.

How do you stay active?
By whirling and twirling around in rehearsals for at least six hours. I also cross train at the gym, and focus on strength training and stretching. And, like all New Yorkers, the hustle and bustle of city life is enough to make a girl sweat!

Favorite evening ritual?
Quality time with my pup, wine and weed. If I'm lucky, my boyfriend will give me a massage while I catch up on trash TV.

Last thing you Googled?
‘Muskrat from Ice Age movie with eye patch’. It's a long story…

The tool that helps you stay in shape?
My Theragun. It stops me getting uber-sore and crampy after a long day of rehearsals.

Best song to work out to?
Anything by Black Coffee.

The secret to getting motivated?
Saying a prayer. When I remind myself of how precious life is and that everything I do matters in some capacity, it always seems to help get me going.

Tatiana Marie, 28, is a freelance movement artist, triple threat, choreographer, creative director, Pilates instructor and youth Teaching Artist. She lives in New York.

Favorite morning ritual?
To pray and exist in complete silence before getting out of bed.

The thing you love most about dancing?
I love that it feels so healing. I can block everything else out and just focus on the movement. Dance is like therapy for me!

A famous dancer you admire?
Debbie Allen because she’s way more than a dancer. She’s also an actress, singer, director, leader and teacher.

The tool that helps you stay in shape?
Probably a reformer! I’m also a Pilates instructor.

Best song to work out to?
Anything Afrobeats!

You never leave home without…
Some crystals and chapstick/lipgloss!

Wade Watson is a performance artist and dancer, currently starring in Goddess The Musical. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.

Favorite morning ritual?
Wake up early enough to lie in bed for an hour. Find something to wear, then take a mirror selfie, lol.

Biggest myth about dancers?
That we don’t make money, and that dance isn’t an upstanding career choice.

A famous dancer you admire?
Too many to name! Darrell Moultrie, Desmond Richardson, Clifton brown, Coral Dolphin, Denzell Chisolm and Rob Bynes to name a few!

Last thing you Googled?
Mugler and H&M COLLAB release date

What’s your life motto?
Stay ready so you don’t have to get ready. And honorary mention: “MIND YOUR DAMN BUSINESS.”

The secret to getting motivated?
I look at my bills, and my empty fridge!

Now see them in action!
