Wildflower Farms

This stunning new Hudson Valley retreat ticks all the boxes

The lowdown

Nestled in a 140-acre former tree nursery, where the Catskills merge with the Hudson River Valley, Wildflower Farms is a pastoral dream. Just an hour and a half outside Manhattan, its breathtaking setting draws you deep into nature.

The rooms

65 freestanding cabins - set either in woodland or meadow - are swathed in blonde wood, hand-knotted rugs, and glass walls framing - you guessed it - wildflower meadows. Our favorite? The Ridge Suite, if only for the terrace with private cedar hot tub.

The food

Clay - the resort’s restaurant - is named after the challenging but fruitful soil that produces all the crops grown on property. The menu is designed to celebrate the region’s bounty. If you’re feeling hungry, opt for the Dry Aged Porterhouse steak cooked over an open fire. It’s perfect for sharing (or not…!)

Worth leaving the room for…

A lap around the stunning outdoor pool, followed by a seasonal cocktail at the pool bar. And, if that feels too energetic, the Thistle spa offers divine treatments that change with the seasons.

What to pack…

Hiking boots. Whether you’re exploring the many scenic trails on property, or attempting the nearby Shawangunk Ridge, the surroundings are so beautiful it would be criminal to stay indoors.

The little bit extra:

The little bit extra: look out for an oHHo treat on your pillow. Our CBNight Chocolate guarantees sweet dreams.

oHHo loves:

The breadth of activities. Whether it’s forest bathing, foraging, or classes in pickling, every experience is designed to connect you with nature.
