oHHo protects our oceans from plastic waste
We harness the amazing power of nature from our plants, it is counterintuitive to then produce polluting waste. We never have and never will choose plastic, preferring plant-based, compostable, alternatives at every opportunity.
Although we choose not to use plastic, we want to be a plastic negative company - contributing to the collection and processing of existing plastic waste - we partnered with Cleanhub to contribute to their global goal mission.
How waste management prevents plastic pollution
Two billion people in coastal regions don’t have access to proper waste management. Trash is either openly burned, dumped, or piled onto poorly managed landfills, destined to impact our climate. Waste management systems prevent trash from ever leaking into nature or being burnt under the open sky.

oHHo enables the safe collection and recovery of ocean bound plastic waste. The contribution supports clean environments and creates sustainable jobs in the global south.
MATCHING WITH THE COLLECTION PARTNER
EcoBali collects waste directly from households & businesses to prevent open dumping. We help build these direct waste collections, providing communities with access to waste management for the first time to prevent open dumping. Every financial contribution helps to expand the model across Bali and creates stable and dignified jobs for local communities in coastal regions.
After the waste has been collected, it is sorted into different categories so each material can be disposed of correctly. Recyclable plastic is sold to local recyclers, non-recyclable plastic is processed in the most environmentally sustainable way available. We track all the plastic recovered through the CleanHub app:
